Here is Stan Bean, who is our music leader for the CBC, doing the “Circuit Riding Preacher.” It has become tradition for him to do this each year, with the congregation singing along with each of the hymns included.

Mountain View Baptist Church hosted the Cola Clash, Wednesday through Friday nights. Attendance was good, and there were many professions of faith. We are grateful for the Lord’s blessing upon this outreach.

2nd Annual Cowboy Bible Conference

Some shots from our Cowboy Bible Conference this week. These are from Friday night’s activities. We had an authentic chuck wagon dinner, prepared by Dick and Deirdre MacGill. We enjoyed some music and some great preaching. Bro Bill Trollinger gave a demonstration of “softening” a colt that had never been ridden, illustrating the process of how God tames wild hearts and draws them to Himself. Truly beautiful to watch…in a matter of 30 minutes or so, the colt that had begun the evening anxiously running around the perimeter of the round pen was quieted, saddled, boarded, ridden, and by the end of the message was following Bill wherever he walked. Unfortunately, we lost daylight so much of this could not be captured without spooking the horse with a flash. Still, a wonderful evening!

Our church family has been joined by some honest to goodness cowpokes for our first annual Cowboy Bible Conference. Our special speaker is Ron Ehman, director of Northwest Baptist Missions. We have enjoyed some good preaching, hymns sung cowboy style, and music by Stan Bean, accompanying himself on guitar. Shown in the first photo, from left to right are: CJ Vandermeulen, Bill Trollinger, Stan Bean, and Pate Caddell.

We have been blessed to have an evangelistic team with us to conduct the teen outreach, “Cola Clash”. They come to us from Baptist College of Ministry in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. They have been doing a fabulous job.
